2025 MHSFCA Division 1 All-State Team Released: Detroit Talent Dominates the List

The Michigan High School Football Coaches Association has officially released the 2025 Division 1 All-State Team, highlighting the top high school football talent across the state — and Metro Detroit is heavily represented. This year’s selections include elite linemen, explosive playmakers, defensive standouts, and several big-time college commits who made their mark throughout the season.
From undefeated Detroit Catholic Central and perennial powerhouse Cass Tech to emergent programs like Hudsonville and East Kentwood, the All-State roster reflects the best of the best in Michigan high school football
Headliners From Metro Detroit
Detroit Catholic Central
The Division 1 State Champions had multiple players earn All-State honors, further cementing their status as the top team in Michigan:
Samson Gash (WR, 12) — Wisconsin commit and one of the state’s most dangerous deep threats.
Jack Janda (DL, 12) — Defensive leader with over 25 D1 offers before committing to Wisconsin.
Gideon Gash (DB, 11) — A rising junior phenom and a major contributor to DCC’s undefeated season.
Benny Eziuka (OL, 12) — Exceptional two-way lineman.
Detroit Cass Tech
The Technicians also placed several stars on the list, showcasing why they reached the Division 1 Final:
Khalief Canty Jr. (OL, 12) — Missouri commit, one of the nation’s top offensive tackles.

Dominic Becari (LB, 12) — Heart of the Highlanders defense and one of the most productive linebackers in D1 this year.

Jeremiah Benson (DL, 12) — The Lakers’ disruptive interior defender earns well-deserved recognition.
Will Espy (DB, 12) — A true lockdown corner for West Bloomfield’s elite secondary.

Kayd Coffman (QB, 12 — East Kentwood) — Michigan State commit; one of the state’s most dynamic dual-threat QBs.

Isaiah Ibrahim (RB, 12 — Woodhaven) — Unstoppable downhill runner with breakaway ability.
