Metro Detroit Signing Day Recap: 2026 Stars Make Their College Commitments Official

National Signing Day has officially come and gone, and the Metro Detroit football community saw one of its strongest classes in recent years make their college commitments official. From Power Five headliners to MAC-level impact players, dozens of the area’s top seniors signed National Letters of Intent on December 3, marking the beginning of their next chapter.
Here’s a full breakdown of the 2026 class signings across Detroit and Metro Detroit programs.
Detroit Catholic Central
DE/TE Jack Janda — Iowa
One of the top defensive players in the state and the leader of DCC’s dominant front seven, Janda makes it official with the Iowa Hawkeyes. His size, strength, and motor made him one of the most coveted prospects in the Midwest.
Detroit Cass Tech
WR/CB/S/QB Corey Sadler Jr — North Carolina
TE/OLB/DE Brian Stovall Jr — Toledo
OLB/CB/S Marcus Jennings — Pittsburgh
DE Darrius Summers III — Northern Illinois
OT Khalief Canty Jr — Missouri
The Technicians headline Signing Day once again with a loaded class. Sadler Jr, the No. 1 player in Michigan, officially joins North Carolina, while Canty Jr takes his elite frame and technique to Missouri. Instead, athletes receive “Likely Letters” from admissions and make verbal commitments.
So their announcements do not appear as official Signing Day signings.
