Metro Detroit Signing Day Recap: 2026 Stars Make Their College Commitments Official

SOUTHFIELD, MI — December 8, 2025

National Signing Day has officially come and gone, and the Metro Detroit football community saw one of its strongest classes in recent years make their college commitments official. From Power Five headliners to MAC-level impact players, dozens of the area’s top seniors signed National Letters of Intent on December 3, marking the beginning of their next chapter.

Here’s a full breakdown of the 2026 class signings across Detroit and Metro Detroit programs.


Detroit Catholic Central

DE/TE Jack Janda — Iowa

One of the top defensive players in the state and the leader of DCC’s dominant front seven, Janda makes it official with the Iowa Hawkeyes. His size, strength, and motor made him one of the most coveted prospects in the Midwest.

Detroit Cass Tech

WR/CB/S/QB Corey Sadler Jr — North Carolina

TE/OLB/DE Brian Stovall Jr — Toledo

OLB/CB/S Marcus Jennings — Pittsburgh

DE Darrius Summers III — Northern Illinois

OT Khalief Canty Jr — Missouri

The Technicians headline Signing Day once again with a loaded class. Sadler Jr, the No. 1 player in Michigan, officially joins North Carolina, while Canty Jr takes his elite frame and technique to Missouri. Stovall Jr, Summers III, and Jennings deepen strong recruiting classes for Toledo, NIU, and Pitt.

Orchard Lake St. Mary’s

DB Kareem Pruitt — Massachusetts

DE Ryan Harrington — Wake Forest

RB/S Camari Patterson — Western Michigan

St. Mary’s sees three players heading to FBS programs, highlighted by Harrington joining the ACC.

Divine Child

S/CB Marcello Vitti — Iowa

WR/CB Antonio Solares-Vitti — Eastern Michigan

Clarkston

OT Hayden Flavin — Northwestern

A massive Big Ten addition, Flavin’s size and movement earned him his shot in Evanston.

West Bloomfield

CB/S Will Espy — Mercyhurst

OT Travis Robertson — Bowling Green State

DT Jeremiah Benson — Minnesota

West Bloomfield continues its reputation as a talent-producing powerhouse. Robertson and Benson add major size to the B1G and MAC trenches, while Espy brings versatility to Mercyhurst’s secondary.

East Kentwood

QB Kayd Coffman — Michigan State

One of the most electrifying quarterbacks in the 2026 class, Coffman stays in-state to join the Spartans. His dual-threat ability and arm talent made him one of the most anticipated signings of the day.

Detroit King

QB Andrew Knight II — Illinois State

RB Michael Dukes III — Rutgers

S Jaidon Windom — Cincinnati

King continues its quarterback tradition as Knight II heads to Illinois State. Dukes III becomes a Big Ten running back at Rutgers, while Windom adds athleticism to Cincinnati’s secondary.

University of Detroit Jesuit

CB Brandon Williams Jr — Youngstown State

LS Riley Winkler — Marshall

Winkler becomes one of the rare long snappers to sign on early payroll, while Williams brings high-end coverage skills to YSU.

Roseville

S Bryant Holland-Snowden — Youngstown State

A high-IQ safety with great range, he joins another strong YSU recruiting cycle.

A deep class of linemen and multi-position athletes from around Metro Detroit highlight the strong pipeline of talent heading to MAC programs.

Ivy League Note

Ivy League programs do not use National Letters of Intent.

Instead, athletes receive “Likely Letters” from admissions and make verbal commitments.

So their announcements do not appear as official Signing Day signings.

Final Thoughts

The 2026 class across Metro Detroit continues to prove why the region is one of the most heavily recruited in the Midwest. Power Five talent, MAC stalwarts, and strong FCS signees made National Signing Day another banner moment for the area.
