Detroit Country Day continued its dominant start to the 2025–26 season with a commanding 104–63 victory over Southfield A&T on Tuesday night. Behind relentless defensive pressure, fast-break scoring, and elite three-point shooting, the Yellowjackets controlled the game from the opening tip and never looked back.

1st Quarter — Country Day Sets the Tone Early

Country Day wasted no time asserting itself, racing out to a 29–10 lead behind suffocating defense and hot shooting from long range.

Ethan Bray (#12) sparked the early surge, hitting three first-quarter three-pointers as the Yellowjackets capitalized on turnovers and turned them into instant offense.

2nd Quarter — Active Defense, Balanced Scoring

The Yellowjackets continued to fly around defensively, jumping passing lanes and converting steals into transition buckets.

Christian Cast (#2) delivered a strong two-way quarter—pushing the tempo, scoring at the rim, and setting up teammates.

Southfield A&T showed signs of life by increasing their pace, getting downhill, and earning trips to the free-throw line. Bryson Webb (#4) led the effort to stabilize the Warriors, but Country Day held firm and took a 56–32 lead into halftime.
