Orchard Lake St. Mary’s controlled the game from start to finish, using defensive pressure, rebounding, and unselfish offense to earn a 71–29 victory over Southfield A&T.
From the opening tip, the Eaglets dictated the pace and steadily built separation, never allowing the Warriors to find sustained momentum.
First Quarter — Defensive Tone Early
The game opened with strong defensive play on both ends, as each team generated shots but struggled to find consistent rhythm. Orchard Lake moved the ball well offensively, while Southfield A&T worked to settle in and establish their flow.
Second Quarter — Eaglets Create Separation
Southfield A&T increased physicality on defense, producing early blocks and steals, but Orchard Lake remained composed. Bela Matyus Jr. (#15, Class of 2026) knocked down two key three-pointers, while Dillan Arafat (#33, Class of 2026) added another from deep to stretch the lead.
Orchard Lake’s ball movement and shot-making created clear separation, sending the Eaglets into halftime with a 29–12 advantage.
